Edward Snowden Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize


 

Viral Allegations that the man who admittedly leaked U.S. Government documents to the public, Edward Snowden, was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Two politicians in Norway told reporters that they "jointly nominated the former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden for the 2014 Nobel peace prize," according to a January 29, 2014 article by England's The Guardian

The article said, "The Socialist Left party politicians Baard Vegar Solhjell, a former environment minister, and Snorre Valen said the public debate and policy changes in the wake of Snowden's whistleblowing had 'contributed to a more stable and peaceful world order.'"

On October 10, 2014 the Guardian reported that Snowden was by "Pakistani teenager and Indian children’s rights activist."  Among the list of nominees were Chelsea Manning, the Pope and Vladimir Putin" 

The 2014 Nobel Peac Prize went to Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi.
