An unsolicited email with an attached file that tells the reader it is a "Notice to Appear" in court.

iRumorMill.com Determination: Scam with potential virus infection

This is a scam that could either steal personal information from the recipient of the eMail or the attached file could infect the computer with malware if opened. Never open an email attachment unless you know the sender and you checked it with antivirus software.

No court is going to notify a person by email. Jury duty notices are usually sent by mail. Summons are usually handed to the recipient in person.

The best advice we can offer to people who get such an email is to block the sender and delete the it.
