iRumorMill.com Determination: Unproven

This appears to be a combination of different stories from different sources leading to various outcomes. This is very most likely investigators have labeled this one a hoax.
Reality Check:
What we know to be real
is that President Eisenhower did travel to Palm Springs in 1954.
According to a Feb. 26, 2025
article by the Wall Street Journal, "President Dwight Eisenhower came to
Smoke Tree in 1954 to visit his friends Paul Helms, a bakery executive from Los
Angeles, and Paul Hoffman, who led the Studebaker Corporation." The Smoke
Tree Ranch is located at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains near Palm
Springs, CA. It is a 400 acre community with 100 private homes where
residents can be close to nature and enjoy the cowboy lifestyle.

Location of the Encounter?
This was confirmed in "Alien Contact" by Timothy Good, which said President
Eisenhower was on a golfing holiday at the Smoke Tree Ranch on Feb. 20, 1954.
The President lost a cap on his tooth while chewing on a chicken leg and was
gone for four hours to seek treatment from a dentist. The book said that
there was no official White House documentation for the dental visit and
Eisenhower was taken to Edwards Air Force Base (not Holloman), 137 miles from
Smoke Tree Ranch, where he saw five alien space craft in Hanger 27.
Eisenhower's Air Force One in 1954 was a Lockheed VC-121E Columbine III and
had a cruising speed of 330 miles per hour. It could easily made the trip from
Palm Springs to Edwards in less than an hour.

Plot Hole
Even if the President used this aircraft to go to Holloman Air Force Base, just
south of Alamogordo, NM, the 725 mile trip could not have been done in the four
time frame that "Alien Contact" described.
Eye Witness Accounts at Holloman
This is a video Retired Air Force Medic Manuel Kirklin describing his time at
Holloman Air Force Base when President Eisenhower visited. The year is 1955 but
there are similarities to the 1954 encounter. Patricia Sorenson read a letter
from her father who was stationed at Holloman during this time.
