Allegations with code numbers of violent crimes have gone viral on the Web that claim to be the criminal past Ferguson's Michael Brown.

iRumorMill.com Determination: Hoax

This is a case of mistaken identity. Some bloggers found the website to search criminal cases filed in the Missouri courts that revealed cases for Michael R. Brown of nearby Overland, Mo. This turned out not to be the same Michael Brown who was killed during an altercation with police officer Darren Wilson.

Fox News reported on September 3, 2014 that two attorneys filed to release the juvenile record, if one exists, of the late Mr. Brown and the court was considering a decision. We have not found any updated as to the court's determination.
