Viral posts alleging that Lt. Col. Stewart Scheller, the U.S. Marine who criticized the Biden Administration's chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, has been arrested.

"Lt. Col Stuart Scheller, who recently garnered considerable attention for social media posts and videos demanding 'accountability' is now in military jail." This according to an September 28, 2021 article by Military Times, which confirmed the announcement by the United States Marine Corps.

The Military Times said, "He is in pretrial confinement at the Regional Brig for Marine Corps Installations East at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, pending an Article 32 preliminary hearing." The Marine Corps has yet to charge Scheller and schedule a location, date and time for the hearing.

Scheller released a video demanding accountability on the evening "that 13 service members, including 11 Marines, were killed in an attack at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul."  According to the Military Times, Scheller was fired on August 27 but "continued posting social media videos and posts to Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn."
